One of the oldest practices on the planet, it is my mission to inspire as many people as I can to get on the mat!
My name is Angela Murphy, and I have had the honour, the freedom and the good fortune of Teaching Yoga for the past 20+ years. I discovered Yoga in my late twenties and knew after my very first class that I had discovered something magical. I was working long hours, earning great money but feeling exhausted and fatigued, and I began to dread getting up every day! I remember thinking “surely there must be more to life” when I stumbled across a bunch of really happy relaxed people coming out of a class. I was totally drawn to go in and the rest is history.
A great tool I find, is to remember that we have power over our peace.
As Rumi, the great Persian poet, said:
“Move, but not the way fear makes you move.”
Lets work towards moving instead from wholeness, from that deep, steady place within that knows the rhythm of your own truth. The kind of movement that unfolds from stillness, carried by breath, guided by awareness, connected to all that surrounds you. When we move this way, life feels softer, richer, and beautifully alive.
